Scheme

DAY-NRLM is a flagship programme of Govt. of India launched through Ministry of Rural Development, aims “To reduce poverty by enabling the poor households to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities, resulting in appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis, through building strong grassroots institutions of the poor.” In Haryana, DAY-NRLM is being implemented since 01-04-2013.

HSRLM has covered 141 blocks of 22 districts. At present, 5,22,448 Households are covered in 49,329 Self Help Groups (SHGs). These SHGs were covered under Community based organisations i.e. 3313 Village Organisation and 153 Cluster Level Federations. In current Financial Year 2021-22, a total of 44813 households are covered in 4469 Self Help Groups (SHGs), 467 Village Organisations and 30 Cluster level Federations.

Success Story

Smt. Rekha

District: Yamunanagar

Smt. Rekha joined SHG in June 2019. She undertook training under the PMEGP scheme facilitated by the MSME in Ambala. To further her business plans, she secured a loan of Rs. 18 lakhs from MSME in February 2022.

Sita Devi

District: Karnal

Sita Devi joined SHG on 15th August 2018. Before joining SHG she faced numerous financial challenges and had no stable source of income. After joining the NRLM she took FLCRP Training. During this period, she also completed her graduation. Additionally, she serves as a smooh sakhi.

Smt. Kavita

District: Yamunanagar

Smt. Kavita has embarked on a livelihood venture of making and selling jute bags and jute dolls since July 2023, after receiving training from RSETI. Smt. Kavita, along with 7 other women, took the initiative to start their own businesses at home.

Smt. Harjeet Kaur

District: Yamunanagar

Smt. Harjeet Kaur joined Self Help Group in 2019. Previously a housewife, she faced challenges in earning sufficient income from the sale of milk from her two buffaloes. To expand her dairy business, she availed a loan of Rs. 4.00 lakh through the cash credit limit and an additional Rs. 15000/- from her SHG savings.

Kailash Devi

District: Sirsa

Kailash Devi, started her enterprise in 5 April 2024 after receiving a bank loan of Rs. 1.75 lakh and received financial assistance from HSRLM, including Rs. 50,000 from community investment fund. With this financial support, she purchased machinery to produce mustard oil using a cold press method.
